what should i see when i look at you

apart from the mystery that turns my mind

neither velvet nor rough

i have my own doubts

as you die in your own world and reach my eyes late

even if i color you, i’m too far away to get into you

i have been busy saying that 

my favourite people 

they look just like you

if you are expanding on yourself

i suppose, i'm doing that too

teach me what not to narrow down

i have my own shadow, after all

BIOGRAPHY

Zeynep Bilge Tuylu was born in Istanbul and currently lives in the UK. She is a multi-disciplinary artist who is interested in film, photography, music, writing and fine arts. She received a Certificate of Higher Education in film and screen studies from the London College of Communications, UAL and will shortly be starting a fine art degree. She writes in Turkish and English, focusing on poems and developing ideas for longer texts.
